On behalf of Georgia Bio, I would like to take the opportunity to extend a warm invitation to join us for the Southeast region’s largest life science conference, the 9th Annual Georgia Life Sciences Summit, scheduled for October 28, 2010, at the AmericasMart Atlanta.
Since its beginning in 2001, the annual Georgia Life Sciences Summit has grown into the premier life science event for the Southeast’s life sciences community. The role of the Summit is to provide a forum where professionals from industry, academia and government can unite to discuss and address the major issues facing the life sciences, including topics related to scientific research, product development, financing, business development and public policy, as well as to showcase exciting and potentially life-saving innovation taking place right here is Georgia. This year, we anticipate that more than 800 individuals from across Georgia, the Southeast and the nation will attend the Summit.
The challenges facing the life sciences today are complex and growing. Changes in the scientific, economic, political, technical and social landscape are accelerating domestically and around the globe, all of which are having an impact in every corner of our industry. In recognition of these developments, and the potential threats and opportunities they represent, the Summit’s 2010 theme is “Innovation for a Healthier World…Meeting the Challenge”. The theme focuses on how private and public organizations can successfully meet the many obstacles ahead, and what new directions and strategies must be considered in order to reach the industry’s goal of continuing to provide world-class innovation to improve the health and well-being of people, animals and the planet.
The Summit will provide you with the opportunity to participate in several plenary sessions designed to address key issues facing the industry as a whole, as well as numerous breakout sessions and panel discussions where many experts will share their insight, guidance, and prognostications on more specific issues facing various sectors of the industry, including therapeutics, diagnostics and vaccines; medical technology and devices; and global and public health organizations. Companies, universities and other organizations will also be displaying their scientific and technological capabilities, breakthroughs and offerings in an exhibit hall that sells out year after year.
So please join us for the 2010 Georgia Life Sciences Summit on October 28, 2010, and participate in what has become the preeminent networking and business event, showcasing the best that the life sciences have to offer in Georgia and across the Southeast.
