Joseph D. Gold, PhD

Joseph Gold received his Ph.D. from Harvard in 1990 and was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Roger Pedersen at UCSF, where he studied early mammalian development. He joined Geron Corporation in 1996, where he is currently Senior Director of Stem Cell Biology and Research Operations. He leads basic research into the differentiation and characterization of cardiomyocytes, islet cells, hepatocytes and oligodendrocyte progenitors from human embryonic stem cells for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. |
