Philip T. Chase
Vice President, Legal, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Massachusetts

Mr. Chase has spent the last decade providing legal services in the biotechnology industry. He is currently Vice President, Legal, for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Alnylam, Mr. Chase served as Vice President and General Counsel at RenaMed Biologics. Before that, Mr. Chase served as Vice President and General Counsel of EPIX Pharmaceuticals and played an integral role in the merger of EPIX and Predix Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Chase also served as Chief Corporate Counsel at Transkaryotic Therapies and was instrumental in the sale of that company to Shire Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Chase began his career in private practice at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Boston, MA, and in the London, UK, office of Shearman & Sterling LLP. He received his J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law and his B.A. from Colby College.
