Senior Vice President Regional Operations, Case Ready Division, Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation

Don W. Mabe, Jr. is senior vice president of regional operations for Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation’s Case Ready Division. He is responsible for operations of four of the company’s complexes which supply retail supermarket customers.

Prior to his current position, Mabe was vice president of operations for Gold Kist Inc., which was purchased by Pilgrim’s Pride in December 2006.  Mabe joined Gold Kist in 1978 and held a number of management positions including manager of the West Georgia Division in Carrollton, president of Carolina Golden Products Company in Sumter, S.C., a Gold Kist subsidiary, and was elected vice president of operations for Gold Kist in 1997.

A chemistry graduate of Emory University, Mabe served on board of directors of the National Chicken Council, Georgia Poultry Federation, Georgia Poultry Processors Association and South Carolina Poultry Federation.
