Dr. Lattouf is an innovative cardiothoracic surgeon with a busy clinical practice in the surgical treatment of complex cardiac diseases. He is widely published and is a frequent speaker at national and international cardiology and cardiac surgery conferences on topics of Off-Pump Coronary Revascularization, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy, and Lesser Invasive Therapy for Pericardial Tamponade, Left Ventricular Reduction Procedures, and complex valve surgery.

Dr. Lattouf has several patented and patent-pending inventions in minimally invasive aortic stents, stem cell delivery systems, resynchronization therapy, beating heart endo-cardiac access, trans-apical and trans-aortic, catheter based, aortic and mitral valve repair and replacement methods and devices. In 2003, Dr. Lattouf founded TransCardiac Therapeutics, Inc. to develop and commercialize intellectual properties he had patented in 2001.  

Dr. Lattouf holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Neurosciences and conducted research on neuronal degenerative diseases.
