Payment of the Workshop registration fee includes the following:

• Official Workshop materials - please note that delegate bags will not be provided due to increased airport security, which has resulted in a decreased number of carry-on bags allowed by the airlines.
• Social functions, including a Welcome Reception on Tuesday evening, July 2, 2002 and a closing social on Friday evening, July 5, 2002
• Breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks during the days of the conference

Cancellation Policy
Due to nature of this closed Workshop and the proximity of registration to the commencement of the Workshop itself, all registration fees are nonrefundable.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

Visa /Passport Information
Please contact your local Consulate regarding Visa requirements. Generally, no visa is required for U.S. passport holders for a stay up to 3 months.

San Pablo Airport (SVQ)
Many major airlines and their partners including Northwest/KLM, American, Iberia, US Airways, and British Airways service the airport in Seville. San Pablo Airport is only a 25-minute drive to the Hotel Alcora. Most flights coming from the US and Europe will have a stopover in Madrid or Barcelona.

The airport is small with only one main hallway, which exits baggage claim. Baggage claim is separated into two different areas, Sala A & Sala B, both with only one conveyer belt. Attendees coming from European Union (EU) countries will collect their luggage from Sala B (main area). Other attendees coming from Non-EU countries (i.e., US and Russia) will collect their luggage in Sala A, which is directly to the right of the main baggage claim area through a set of doors. For those who collect their luggage in Sala A, you will need to go through a small customs area. All attendees will end up in the main hallway outside baggage claim.

Workshop SHUTTLE System
The HIV Drug Resistance Workshop shuttles will be clearly marked and located directly outside of baggage claim. English speaking hostesses will be located within the baggage area and outside at the shuttle.

The Hotel Alcora is a 25-minute ride from the San Pablo Airport (SVQ). The conference secretariat is pleased to offer a shuttle service for all attendees:

SEVILLE INFORMATION

Climate
Seville enjoys a sub-tropical climate. The average temperature in July is 36 Celsius /97 Fahrenheit during the day. The average humidity is 70%.

Credit Cards, Currency and Exchange
All major international credit cards are accepted. Foreign currency and traveler's checks can be exchanged in Spain at banks and foreign exchange offices. Cash-point machines accepting major international credit cards and charge cards are available at most banks. Spanish currency is the Euro as in most countries of the European Union.

Electrical Power
A 2-pin round adapter is necessary for electrical appliances. The electric current used is 220 volts/50hz. For those coming from North America with 110v/60hz appliances, be sure to use an appropriate transformer.

Tipping
In restaurants, hotels, taxis, hairdressers and so on, gratuity is not included in the price. Although optional, tips are readily accepted and a general guideline is between 5% and 10% of the bill, depending on the quality of the service. Hotel and airport porters will take, depending on the luggage you have, 1 to 3 Euros.

Car Rental
Free parking is very limited in the city center and car parks are expensive, so car rental is only really recommended for excursions outside the city. To rent a car, drivers must be in possession of a valid driving license, held for at least one year, and must be over 21 years of age or 23 years of age depending on the car rental firm. International Drivers Licenses will be required should you be involved in an accident or stopped by the police. An International Drivers License is available at AAA offices in the US for $10.00. You will be required to provide two passport- size photos. There are three car rental companies located inside the Seville airport:
