The focus of HIV DART 2006 is to assemble clinicians, researchers and basic scientists together to advance our knowledge of the ongoing drug development processes in antiretroviral research. HIV DART 2006 will uniquely blend the areas of biology, chemistry, pharmacology and clinical research to provide the scientific community an increased understanding of the current and future challenges in therapeutics for HIV infection.
The Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

to 50% of the registration payment and 50% of the hotel deposit.
- No refund of the registration payment, including the two night's hotel deposit, will be issued for cancellations postmarked after NOVEMBER 10, 2006.

A two-night's deposit is required to guarantee the hotel reservation. An early departure or cancellation after November 10, 2006 will result in loss of deposit.

The JW Marriott Cancun is located 9 miles from the Cancun International Aiprort.
Directions
Take the North exit from Cancun International Airport. Follow the signs to the Hotel Zone. The resort is approximately 9 miles on the right hand side.
VISA/PASSPORT INFORMATION
Cancun International Airport is an international port of entry to Mexico and as such it is regulated by Mexican and international laws and treaties. Every country in the world has a treaty with Mexico detailing what is necessary for the citizens of that county to enter into Mexican territory. Please check with your travel agent or with the Mexican Embassy in your country about the documentation and visas you need to enter Mexico. There are several countries that do not need a visa to enter Mexico, this list includes but is not limited to the following countries: The United States, Canada and some countries of the European Union.

to your travel agent or the nearest Mexican Consulate in your

ELECTRICITY
The electrical supply in Mexico is 110 volts/50 cycles
standard, and electrical appliances use plugs that are two-pronged
and flat (such as those used in the United States and Canada).
If you will need to use an adapter, please be sure to use
an appropriate transformer as well.
CURRENCY
The local currency is the Mexican Peso. However, the United
States Dollar is widely accepted throughout Cancun. All
major international credit cards are accepted. Foreign currency
and traveler's checks can be exchanged at the Cancun International Airport foreign-exchange office. Cash-point machines accepting major international credit cards, domestic ATM cards and charge cards are available at the JW Marriott Cancun.
TIPPING
In restaurants, hotels, taxis, hairdressers and so on, gratuity is not included in the price. Although optional, tips are readily accepted and a general guideline is between 5% and 10% of the bill, depending on the quality of the service. Hotel and airport porters will take, depending on the luggage you have, US$ 2-4.00.

be made available.

registrants who require a letter of invitation to obtain a travel
visa may contact Informed Horizons directly by email at info@informedhorizons.com.
Please include your name, address, fax number and note requesting
a letter of invitation. Delegates from China should also include
their passport number, date of birth and gender. All letters of
invitation will be sent by fax unless otherwise requested.
The Organizing Committee wishes to ensure that all scientists working in the HIV field are able to attend this Conference to the benefit of their future research. Provided funds are obtained, some partial, full, and travel scholarship funds will be created to contribute toward the costs incurred by attending this Conference.
Post-doctoral fellows, nurses, assistant professors, underrepresented minorities, and residents of developing countries are encouraged to apply for these scholarships. Preference will be given to those applicants who are submitting an abstract.
Please send your request for scholarship to the conference secretariat if you wish to apply. You must also provide a letter from your mentor/supervisor indicating your need for a scholarship and a copy of your passport or driver's license.
